Nancy O'Dell's initial work in the industry of broadcast was as a reporter/anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then she became an anchor in the morning and a reporter for WCBD TV. O'Dell's reporting on the lax responses of police officers to DUI cases in Charleston resulted in an investigation conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, which resulted in a new directive from state authorities regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell received her Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. After her time in Charleston O'Dell served as anchor, co-anchor, and investigative reporter for NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to joining Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor as well as a weekday correspondent. O'Dell is the anchor of choice for Access Hollywood. In addition she is a contributor for NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She's covered events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as and co-hosted a variety of Pre-ShowArrivals shows to The Emmys and the Golden Globes. Co-hosted the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
